The tale of a young woman in love, and what she will do when that love doesn't turn out the way she imagines it should. A film of the Western genre, set in the Hood River Valley of Oregon in the early 1900's. A love letter to the 1960's and 70's films of Peckinpah, Hellman, and Altman.

Rudolph Florence

Directed by Manny Marquez while at the Art Center College of Design. Highly influenced by the illustrations of Edward Gorey, Manny set out to make a life size children's book, of the morbid nature. The film is about a woman that creates a cardboard replica of her husband after he dies in a workplace accident. She tries to convince her son that the cardboard cutout is his real father. Featured on the PBS series FINE CUT, and also one of only 5 films that premiered at the USC Crossroads Film Festival in 2003. Completed in 2001.
