At age 7, I received my first still camera. Later, I spent my high school years as the photo editor of our yearbook, and many hours in the darkroom. In a world comprised of impatience and digital imagery, I decided to return to 35mm photography as my personal way of recording my life. My recent embrace of the photochemical process and the fragility of the analog film image is surely nostalgic, but also meaningful. 35mm photography was my first way of telling stories, and today continues to inspire all my other work.
